I've heard that people love to use this in their undereye area, which baffles me. It's much too heavy on me, and it creases like crazy every time I use it for that purpose. However, it's absolutely fantastic at covering acne and pigmentation. The thick formula melts when it comes into contact with your finger, and it applies like a dream.
It blends in well, providing full coverage. It covers all redness, pimples and blemishes. This was one of the first concealers I bought when I first started getting into makeup.
Its compact and full coverage which I like, but I think because it is so thick, when I put it under my eyes it always creases really bad, even after I set it, and when I do set it, it needs to be with a very matte powder which ultimately leaves my under eyes looking a bit dry and crusty. I do however love this for concealing those really big red pimples because it covers them quite well, but if you have any sort of dry patches or anything this will cling to them and look a bit crusty, so when my skin is drier I tend to avoid this.
I think if you do not have any eye wrinkles or dry skin you would like this. I still continue to purchase to this day. The product is best applied with fingers to slightly warm the creamy formula and blend easily, then go over with a brush or sponge latex and not wet. I sanitize the pot after use by spraying with an alcohol mist and gently wiping with a facial tissue gently.
I use this mostly under the eye. I have no eye bags or dark undereye but this brightens the area. This is full coverage, however has flashback. I have been using this product for years in NC This is an all purpose concealer than can hide anything from a zit to under eye bags. This concealer is very thick but at the same time very easy to spread and a little product goes a long way. I apply this by warming on my fingers first then applying to under the eyes, then setting with a translucent powder.
This concealer has a great staying power and will not budge once you have applied it however it can crease around the eyes. Studio Finish concealer is the first concealer I ever tried and I hope to keep it that way for a very long time. The concealer is easy to blend, you don't need much in order to make your look flawless and having SPF was the clear winner for me. I have pale, sensitive and dry skin, so I originally was looking for something that would keep me my eye area in particular hydrated throughout the day and was a lightweight formula - it won for me in both areas.
I use two different colours of concealer and majorly happy with both results. I am about to start using my concealer for the first time with a concealer brush instead of using my fingertips. I am just hoping it will help with blending a little quicker and precise. Please try this, it is excellent. Let me start off by saying that a little bit of this product really does go a long way!
I've had this for almost a year and a half now and still have a little more to go. This product is really high coverage so good for covering those bright pimples and dark circles!
It is so buttery and applies like a dream but it does crease so make sure you do set this concealer I enjoyed using this concealer much more than I expected. It's surprisingly light in comparison to the Pro-Longwear Concealer and it doesn't emphasise the dry areas of my cheeks as much either.
Like all MAC concealers, this one also has great coverage and a little really goes a long way.
I find that this concealer is much more moisturising as it is of a cream formulation which is perfect for those who have dry skin and is also great for winter use. It does settle into some of my fine lines after a couple of hours but it isn't too noticeable. Studio Finish Concealer has a little bit of an artificial paint smell but it fades after application and it hasn't broken out my skin. As a cream, it can slip a little on your skin so I'd recommend powdering over the concealer to lock it in place.
The product does get a little messy to use and I keep getting smudges of concealer on the sides of the packaging. I don't mind too much as there is a generous amount of product in the tiny pot. I'm also very happy with the shade range offered by MAC as I can easily find the perfect shade to match me. I love this concealer, it is so smooth and creamy and it covers all my spots adult acene and sun spots! It doens't move during the day and is easy to apply with a flat bush!

I have never found a concealer so pigmented and that is able to cover literally anything! This product conceals acne and hyper-pigmentation like a dream. Although it may be a bit thick and heavy for some people under their eyes, I love it as an under-eye concealer because I have very dark circles and this covers them up in a second! I have dry skin and quite dark circles around my eyes. I brought this concealer to cover up all my imperfections, mainly around my eye area.

I read reviews from google saying this wasnt good for under eye concealing due to it creasing. I brought it anyway and spent the first week playing around still getting creasing. Finally i just put my regular primer on and gently and slowly tapped the concealer on. It turns out i must have been using too much as it did not crease at all. This did dry to a powdery finish with me, but i have ordered the mac prep prime and finish and a setting powder to try to achieve the dewey look.
MAC is launching new 24-hour Studio Fix concealers
I will buy this again, the concealer is a tough kind of cream but it has alot of punch. The downside is the price and the time i have to play with this to get my wanted result. This is one of my everyday products. Given that I have problems with dark circles I always apply an eye cream and then this concealer topped with something more brightening.
For someone without the serious dark circles 2 products would not be necessary. This concealer provides good coverage and is not drying. Works well on blemishes also. I find it's great to pop around my nose and mouth underneath foundation for extra coverage in those places which rub off during the day. MAC is by far the best in terms of shade matching for foundation and their concealers are just as amazing where some brands don't have enough of a yellow undertone for my skin. I find that this concealer gives the best results after foundation for when you want to achieve a completely flawless face.
It smoothes so easily over raised blemishes and discolouration making blemishes almost invisible to the eye. Yet it manages to look natural because it is such a creamy product that just melts seamlessly into the skin. While it is definitely prices for such a little pot, a little goes a long way. Now that NYX has come out with the above and beyond full coverage concealer, theres definitely an alternative if you are unsure about taking the plunge with MAC. An amazing concealer for blemishes, scarring and bruises. It was my first Mac product and i still love it to death even though i bought it 5 years ago committing major makeup sins here, but i cant bear to throw it out having not hit pan!
It is relatively long-lasting, around hours if you set it with a powder. However the price is quite hefty and there are more affordable alternatives out there. I enjoy using the MAC Studio Finish concealer because the product is creamy enough to use on my dark under eye circles without being drying but it still works on redness or blemishes on other areas of the face.
Because it is creamy, I do set the product with powder so it stays on and to prevent it from creasing under my eyes. I struggled so much to find a good colour match as the shades were too yellow or orange on me.
